The mutual love between two partners has four different types of touch; rubbing, piercing, touching, and pressing. Now I know what your thinking “Holy shit, piercing, what the actual fuck” but it isn’t what you think. The Kama Sutra describes piercing as when a woman pokes their partner with her breasts. When her partner gives them a squeezes them and holds them it is noted as a “piercing embrace.”

The difference between a rubbing and touching embrace is the touching one is shorter or with less movement. My favorite is the pressing embrace. This is the kind where you are forcibly pressed against something, like a wall, by the other’s body. 

There are more specific types of embraces…

• The mixture of sesamum seed with rice (I secretly love the names they came up with) is when lying on a bed and the embrace is so close that the arms and legs of one embraces the other and pulling them tighter towards oneself.
• When the lovers are in an embrace that resembles sex, but there is no entry, sitting on the others lap and facing them or lying on top of each other, is called the mixture of milk and water.
